Culture jamming is a tactic in which an activist attempts to disrupt mainstream cultural and corporate advertising. Sometimes, culture jamming can involve transforming mass media to create ironic commentary on a product or idea. Culture jamming has also been called anti-advertising and subvertising. The picture below is an interesting example of culture jamming to me. The pepsi logo and ad campaigns are so recognizable, which makes this image very bold and it definately makes a statement. It is simple, bold, and strong, which makes it interesting to me.
